What myWriteClub is
myWriteClub is a free, social-first tracker. Create a project, set a goal, invite friends, and use the live word-sprint feature to write alongside other people in real time. You can track in words, chapters, scenes, to-do items, pages, percentages, lines, or "other." The tool is intentionally simple beyond that: no average-per-day, no time-of-day analysis, no Rewind. It is built around accountability through community.
What Authorlytica is
Authorlytica is the analytics-heavy version of the same daily-logging job. Streaks, charts, pace projection, mood tracking, the Writer Profile Radar across five dimensions, weekly recaps, monthly Rewinds, an annual Wrapped. Plus a friends feed, kudos, and nudges, though without myWriteClub's live shared sprints.

When myWriteClub is right
- You write better with other people in the room (or the Discord).
- You want live word sprints as a core motivator.
- You want unlimited projects on the free tier, including odd units like "scenes" or "to-do items."
When Authorlytica is right
- You want the long-term analytics: average per day, time-of-day patterns, year-over-year trends.
- You want the Rewind report at month-end and year-end.
- You want the Writer Profile to tell you whether you are a Speed Demon or a Steady Giant.
- You want gamification (achievements, XP, personal records) as additional motivation.
Honest recommendation
Run both. They cover different motivational angles. myWriteClub for the live sprints and the people. Authorlytica for the long-term data and the Rewind. Logging your sprint in both takes ten seconds at the end of a session.
