WRITING IS HARD

We make it easier

Writing a book is a long walk. Day after day, you add a few hundred words and the finish line still looks far away. Without a reliable word tracker, that effort feels invisible.

Authorlytica flips the script. Instead of reminding you how far you still have to go, it shows you how far you've already come. After each session, you'll see:

Break your work into projects, acts, or chapters so the next step is always clear. Miss the structure of NaNoWriMo? Authorlytica is your year-round writing partner that keeps you motivated long after November.

No installs. No setup. Just visit app.authorlytica.com on any device and start tracking. Free during beta.

Turn daily word counts into momentum

1. See patterns you'd never spot in a spreadsheet

Track your mood alongside your word count and discover when you write best. The mood heatmap reveals patterns over weeks and months—showing you which days fuel your creativity and which ones need more support.

It's like a Wrapped for your writing life: beautiful, insightful, and uniquely yours.

2. Break it down

Split your project into parts, acts, or chapters and give each one its own word count goal. Watching those smaller bars fill up makes progress feel closer and keeps the next step clear.

Big goals stop feeling impossible when you can see them fall one milestone at a time.

THE ORIGIN STORY

The tool I had to build

Made by a writer, for writers.

Hi, I'm Adam. I'm a writer who fell in love with NaNoWriMo: the word tracking, the daily goals, the little achievements that kept me coming back. It was the only thing that ever made me finish drafts.

When NaNoWriMo collapsed, I wanted that feeling back. But I also wanted more: year-round tracking, mood patterns, smarter insights, and gamification that actually motivates. So I built Authorlytica in the same spirit, but better, and available every single day.

I've been developing it since late 2024. These days I write more code than words, but that's how you know I'm serious about building the tool I wish existed.

I'm a solo indie developer and writer based in Europe. More of my work at adamrendo.com.

Why tracking works

Visible progress = unstoppable motivation

When you can see your progress, you're far more likely to keep going. Charts, streaks, and stats turn invisible effort into visible wins—making it harder to quit and easier to show up tomorrow.

Small milestones > big overwhelming goals

Breaking a massive project into smaller pieces makes finishing feel possible. Each milestone you hit gives you a burst of motivation that carries you to the next one. That's why Authorlytica lets you split your book into manageable chunks.

Consistency turns writing into habit

Daily tracking creates accountability. Small, steady wins compound into real momentum, turning sporadic inspiration into reliable routine. That's the magic NaNoWriMo provided—and what Authorlytica brings you year-round.

Access

Do I need to install anything?

No installs, no setup. Just go to app.authorlytica.com on any device, create an account to keep your data yours, and start logging your words with the built-in word counter.

Cost

Is it really free?

Yes. Authorlytica is free while in beta. The plan is to continually improve the app and release premium features to cover server and development costs. Right now, the app is losing money. If you care to support development, you can buy Adam a coffee.

Privacy

Who can see my data?

Your writing data is private and not shared outside the Authorlytica platform, nor is it sold to third parties. Authorlytica developers and database admins can access the data but will only do so if it is necessary for maintenance. You can opt-out of any leaderboard data sharing at any point. You can export or fully delete your data anytime. For a comprehensive overview, consult the privacy policy.

Features

What makes Authorlytica different?

Most word counters only tell you a total. Authorlytica focuses on momentum. It shows streaks, daily averages, trends, and an honest days-left estimate so you always know where you stand.

Authorlytica is designed to look clean and motivating, with charts that make progress feel real. It's being developed by a lone writer who's passionate about the craft, not a large corporation. Levels and achievements are coming soon, giving you small rewards that make showing up satisfying.
